A 20-year-old woman was taken to a hospital in San Pablo to be treated for minor injuries following a multi-vehicle collision today on state Highway 4 near Hercules, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision, which happened a quarter mile west of Franklin Canyon Golf Course at about 10:45 a.m., involved a blue Ford Edge and up to two other unidentified cars, according to CHP Officer Ralph Caggiano.
One of the lanes of Highway 4 was subsequently temporarily blocked in the area prior to Hercules in unincorporated Contra Costa County.
One vehicle was pushed to the right shoulder of the highway and the other was high-centered on the center divider.
