Police have arrested a 15-year-old boy in connection with a gang-related double stabbing at San Jose’s Eastridge Shopping Mall on Saturday.

Two juvenile males were attacked inside the mall around 7:30 p.m., according to police Officer Jose Garcia. They were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Their injuries are no longer considered life threatening, he said today.

The stabbing prompted the closure of the JC Penney and Macy’s stores and a portion of the mall during the investigation, Garcia said.

Three male suspects were seen fleeing on foot following the attack. Officers detained one juvenile in connection with the stabbing and are working to identify two others who may have been involved or witnessed the crime.

Anyone with information about the stabbing is asked to call San Jose police at (408) 277-8900.
