The Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office has filed 16 charges against a man who was arrested in San Jose on Wednesday following sexual molestation allegations.

Nickolas Campbell, 22, of San Jose, was arraigned in court this afternoon on nine counts of lewd or lascivious acts on a child by force, one count of lewd or lascivious acts on a child under 14, two counts of rape by force, two counts of sodomy by force, and two counts of sexual penetration by force, according to the district attorney’s office.

Campbell is scheduled to enter a plea at a 9:30 a.m. hearing on Aug. 19.

Campbell was arrested in South San Jose Wednesday afternoon after police received a tip from the county’s Department of Family and Child Services that a person had sexually molested a 15-year-old girl and that he had possibly sexually molested other underage girls at the home, some of them who were allegedly related to him, according to San Jose police.

Campbell is the younger brother of DeShawn Campbell, who just last Friday received a prison life sentence for the 2001 murder of rookie San Jose police officer Jeffrey Fontana.

Anyone with information about the sexual molestations are urged to contact Detective D. McMullen of the San Jose Police Department’s sexual assault unit at (408) 277-4102 or crime stoppers at (408) 947-STOP (7867) to remain anonymous.
