A 17-year-old Salinas boy was shot to death in Castroville on Monday night, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.
The boy, whose name has not yet been released, was shot at about 10:35 p.m. in the area of 11500 Speegle St., sheriff’s officials said.
The young man was airlifted to Regional Medical Center of San Jose with multiple gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead.
