Santa Clara County residents are invited to attend a forum on suicide prevention in San Jose tonight.
The forum, organized by the county’s Suicide Prevention Advisory Committee, is part of an effort to reduce the number of deaths from suicide and increase awareness about the reasons people consider taking their own lives.
Topics of discussion will include suicide risk factors, prevention, and the availability of mental health and support services.
The forum will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Room BQ160 in the basement of the Valley Specialty Center on the Valley Medical Center campus at 751 S. Bascom Ave.
