A man was arrested Wednesday night after he allegedly broke into a Petaluma home and ate the occupant’s food, according to police.
A resident reported the burglary shortly before 11 p.m. at his home in the 900 block of St. Francis Drive.
The suspect ran away when the resident confronted him, but officers found him a block away and took him into custody.
He was identified as 20-year-old David Avilez of Petaluma.
Avilez was booked into Sonoma County jail.
