A Prunedale man was arraigned in Monterey County Superior Court this afternoon on one count of murder in connection with the disappearance of his 23-year-old wife late last month, District Attorney Dean Flippo said.
Jesse Crow, 33, has been in custody on $3 million bail following his arrest in Pacific Grove on the night of Feb. 16, Salinas police Officer Lalo Villegas said.
His wife, Ryann Bunnell Crow, was reported missing to Salinas police by her family Feb. 2 after not showing up to work the previous two days.
She has not been seen since the afternoon of Jan. 30 in the Prunedale area of the county.
The investigation shifted from a missing person report to a criminal case, Villegas said. He said based on evidence authorities have uncovered, it appears Ryann Bunnell Crow is dead.
Authorities with the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office and Salinas police have searched Kirby Park, located near the Elkhorn Slough in the northern part of the county. They are continuing to investigate her disappearance, along with the Department of Justice.
