A blaze at a San Jose home this afternoon displaced one person and caused an estimated $150,000 in damage, a fire spokesman said.

A one-alarm fire was reported around 2:30 p.m. at a single-family house in the 1700 block of Gunston Way, fire Capt. Anthony Melendrez said.

He said when firefighters responded, they found the kitchen and attic were involved from floor to roof.

They had the fire under control at about 4:35 p.m.

One person lived at the house and was temporarily displaced, Melendrez said.

No one was injured in the fire and neighboring homes were not affected.
