Firefighters have contained a fire at a San Jose apartment complex this afternoon, a fire department spokesman said.
The three-alarm fire at 2275 South Bascom Ave. was reported at 1:16 p.m. and contained at 2:10 p.m., fire Capt. Chuck Rangel said.
The blaze has not been controlled as of 2:45 p.m., Rangel said.
He said two units of a 20-unit building were involved and that all occupants were evacuated.
The two units sustained heavy fire damage, but no one was injured.
The complex is part of a bigger building, Rangel said.
Firefighters from the Santa Clara County Fire Department also assisted in the response to the blaze.
