The California Department of Transportation will close a shoulder and left lane on state Highway 24 in Alameda County beginning today to continue to remove landscaping, existing asphalt and pave with concrete.
Construction will occur in the median area and require the closure of the shoulder and left lane on the highway from the Golden Gate Avenue undercrossing to the San Pablo Avenue undercrossing on westbound Interstate Highway 980.
The closure is scheduled to occur today from 3 p.m. to 4 a.m. and Monday through Thursday from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Construction will continue at Interstate Highway 980 from the Highway 580 junction to the San Pablo Avenue undercrossing. Closure of the left lane and shoulder is scheduled to take place today to Thursday from 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. and Friday from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
