Four protesters were arrested during an anti-war protest at Civic Center Plaza in San Francisco this afternoon, San Francisco police said.
San Francisco police spokeswoman Sgt. Lyn Tomioka said three women and one man were arrested and taken into custody at about 2:30 p.m.
A boy carrying a backpack filled with rocks was also taken into custody after one of the rocks he was allegedly throwing hit an officer. Tomioka said he was freed by a group of protesters.
One officer was kicked and another bitten, Tomioka said.
