A nearly full Mountain View police staff is expected to patrol the Shoreline Amphitheatre’s next concert on June 26th after six people were stabbed at a concert in May, a police spokeswoman said.
Mountain View police spokeswoman Liz Wylie said more than 50 officers will patrol the venue on the night of radio station Wild 94.9’s “The Bomb” concert.
Wylie said officers will be stationed at strategic places to ensure that the concert goes smoothly for attendees.
“We’ll have officers in the parking lots, at the bars, we’ll do periodic walk-throughs in other areas,” she said.
Six separate stabbings and multiple fights occurred at the Kiss Old School Fiesta Concert on May 30, which management ended earlier than scheduled. The victims, ages 18, 25, 26, 32, 33 and 36, were all expected to survive.
