A Santa Clara County Superior Court jury has convicted a Gilroy man of first-degree murder in connection with the killing of 27-year-old Philip Lacy during a robbery in downtown Palo Alto two years ago.
Otto Emil Koloto, 23, faces life in prison without parole.
A hearing to set a sentencing date for Koloto will be held May 11.
Koloto was convicted of murdering Lacy, a South San Francisco resident, early the morning of July 13, 2008, near City Hall.
