Lanes reopened on Hwy 17 following four-car crash

All lanes on northbound state Highway 17 in the Santa Cruz Mountains were reopened this morning following a four-car crash, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident was reported at about 11:55 p.m. Saturday at Redwood Estates Road.

Two separate spinouts caused a four-car pileup involving a Mitsubishi and a motorcycle, CHP Officer Robert Haven said.

At least two people suffered major injuries in the accident, Haven said.

Lanes were reopened at about 1:35 a.m. this morning, Haven said.
