A 19-year-old suspected gang member was arrested in Salinas Thursday night after police found a stolen pistol in his possession, according to police.
Officers stopped Andrew Salcido around 10:10 p.m. in the area of Las Casitas and Ranchero drives after they noticed he was driving with only his parking lights, according to police.
When officers ordered Salcido to pull over, he struck a parked car in the process, according to police.
While officers questioned Salcido, they noticed a semi-auto pistol hidden under his right leg, which a records check indicated was stolen.
Salcido was arrested without incident and booked into Monterey County jail.
