A man was arrested in Live Oak early this morning on robbery and drug-related charges after deputies at the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office found stolen marijuana and prescription pill bottles in his house.
Deputies responded to a report of a robbery at a home in the 3500 block of Capitola Road at about 12:45 a.m., according to the sheriff’s office.
The alleged robbery victim told deputies that a 21-year-old man, identified as Logan McDonough, had stopped at the house to buy marijuana. While he was there, McDonough robbed the victim at gunpoint and took the victim’s marijuana and prescription pills, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies went to McDonough’s home and recovered more than a pound of marijuana believed to belong to the victim and prescription pill bottles bearing the victim’s name. They also found methamphetamine and cocaine, however they did not find a gun in his home.
McDonough was booked into county jail on charges that include robbery, possession of marijuana for sale, and drug possession.
