The Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office has filed a murder charge against a 25-year-old man suspected of killing a woman in San Jose Friday night.
Gannon Crediford, a resident of San Jose, was arrested in connection with the murder of 28-year-old Jasmine Costa, also of San Jose, police said.
Police had received a report of a woman screaming for help and then a “pop” sound at around 9:05 p.m. in the 1000 block of Morris Court.
When officers arrived, they found Costa suffering from gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Crediford will be arraigned in Superior Court Wednesday afternoon, district attorney spokeswoman Amy Cornell said.
