The Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office today released the identity of a 77-year-old woman whose body was discovered near an Interstate Highway 680 offramp Monday following a hit-and-run accident in San Jose.
The body of Hue Thi Duong, of San Jose, was discovered at about 6:10 a.m. Monday on McKee Road near Capitol Avenue, Officer Jermaine Thomas said.
Investigators believe Duong was hit by a car and dragged a quarter- to a half-mile down the road, Thomas said.
Thomas did not have information this morning on the hit-and-run vehicle or the driver, but said the collision is still being investigated.
