The Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office has identified a man who died after crashing his motorcycle into a parked car in San Jose Thursday night as 47-year-old San Jose resident Ernesto Perez.
Perez was traveling west on Bernal Way toward Dalbon Court at about 6:50 p.m. when he crashed into the car for unknown reasons, police Officer Jose Garcia said.
Perez landed beneath the car and was later pulled out by emergency responders. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are investigating whether the crash was caused by mechanical failure. Garcia said there was no indication that drugs or alcohol were involved.
