A North American Aerospace Defense Command fighter jet intercepted an aircraft for committing a temporary flight restriction violation near Santa Clara Thursday night, the agency said today.
The aircraft landed without incident at Reid-Hillview Airport in San Jose after the 5:45 p.m. interception, according to a statement on NORAD’S website.
The F15 jet was from the Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho.
NORAD is a Canadian and American command responsible for detecting, deterring and preventing potential threats flying over the airspace of Canada and the U.S.
