The Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office has identified a pedestrian who was killed on northbound U.S. Highway 101 in San Jose on Saturday night as Manuel Villa Lobos Torres.
Torres, a 38-year-old San Jose resident, was hit by a BMW at about 9:40 p.m. on the highway just south of Blossom Hill Road, California Highway Patrol Officer Scott Cakebread said. He was then struck by a Honda Accord.
Alcohol does not appear to have been a factor in the collision, Cakebread said.
