Palo Alto police arrested two people suspected of burglarizing a home Tuesday, according to police.
A resident called police shortly before noon Tuesday to report that he had found two male suspects stealing electronics from his home, according to police.
The suspects then fled in a vehicle with the victim’s property, police said.
Officers responded to the home in the 800 block of Oregon Avenue but could not locate the suspects, police said.
Officers spotted a matching suspect vehicle about half an hour later in the area of University Avenue and U.S. Highway 101 and stopped the vehicle, according to police.
Police arrested the occupants after the victim positively identified them.
Ever Castro, 23, of East Palo Alto, was booked into the Santa Clara County main jail and charged with burglary, possession of stolen property, resisting arrest and providing false information to police. Castro also had a no-bail felony parole violation warrant and a $60,000 felony sexual assault warrant for his arrest, according to police.
The second suspect, a juvenile, was charged with burglary and booked into the Santa Clara Juvenile Hall.
The victim’s property was recovered from a home in East Palo Alto, police said.
