Police are continuing their investigation into the abduction of an 18-year-old woman taken from her San Jose home on Sunday morning, a police sergeant said today.

At about 7:50 a.m. Sunday, a 28-year-old man identified as Brian Bui Adrong stabbed another 28-year-old man and kidnapped 18-year-old Judy La from a home in the 2600 block of Lucena Drive, Sgt. Ronnie Lopez said.

La had not been found as of today.

The stabbing victim was transported to a local hospital with multiple stab wounds and lacerations, but he is expected to survive, Lopez said.

Adrong and the two victims are all San Jose residents, according to police.

“They all knew each other, so it wasn’t a random act,” Lopez said.

Adrong, who also goes by the name Tony Pham, drives a 2002 black Lexus IS300, Lopez said. The license plate number is 6DSJ212.

Adrong is described as 6 feet tall and weighing about 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

La is about 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 115 pounds. She has brown hair and black eyes.

Detectives are following leads and investigating the motive behind the stabbing and kidnapping, Lopez said.

Anyone with information about Adrong or La’s whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Sgt. Jorge Gutierrez or Detective Barbara Melloch of the assaults unit at (408) 277-4161, or the communications center at (408) 277-8911 during non-business hours. Those who wish to remain anonymous can call Silicon Valley Crime Stoppers at (408) 947-STOP (7867).
