Campbell police are investigating a hit-and-run accident on Saturday that injured two pedestrians.

The victims were hit at about 1:55 a.m. at the intersection of Campbell Avenue and Second Street, according to police.

A black car failed to stop at a stop sign and rammed into a man and woman as they were walking in a crosswalk, police said.

The man suffered minor injuries and did not go to a hospital. The woman was transported to a hospital but her injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Police said witnesses described the vehicle as possibly a BMW or Honda, occupied by two males, last seen heading west toward Winchester Boulevard.

The vehicle might have sustained front-end damage in the collision, according to police.

Anyone with information about the hit-and-run is asked to call Officer Dave Wetzel at (408) 866-2715.
