Greenfield police are investigating the city’s first homicide this year following the death of a 25-year-old woman Thursday night, according to the Monterey County coroner’s office.
The victim, Anabel Trujillo, of Greenfield, was shot by an unknown assailant, according to the coroner’s office.
Trujillo was scheduled to undergo an autopsy today.
Greenfield police were not immediately available this afternoon to provide further details about the shooting.
