Police are trying to determine if a man who exposed himself to a group of women in Palo Alto on Tuesday morning is the same suspect involved in several similar incidents in the past month.
The incident on Tuesday occurred around 8:30 a.m. near Park Boulevard and Oxford Avenue, according to police Lt. Sandra Brown.
A Hispanic man in his 20s, wearing a black sweater and blue jeans, approached four women as they were walking, exposed himself to them, and then fled towards El Camino Real, Brown said.
He might be the same person involved in similar crimes earlier this month in the 200 Block of Stanford Avenue, near the intersection of Birch Street and Oxford Avenue, and on the foot path near Terman Middle School at 655 Arastradero Road.
The suspect in these incidents has been described as a Hispanic man between 20 and 30 years old, about 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and between 180 and 200 pounds.
Brown said that in another, unrelated indecent exposure incident on Tuesday, an officer patrolling the Caltrain station at 95 University Ave. came across a transient allegedly masturbating on the platform.
The man, identified as Carl Leroy Jones, 59, was arrested and cited. There were no other riders on the platform.
Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to call the Police Department at (650) 329-2413 or send anonymous tips to paloalto@tipnow.org.
