Police are investigating two armed robberies that occurred simultaneously at separate gas stations in Salinas on Thursday.
At about 7:45 p.m., a man wearing all black clothing and a black ski mask entered the Quik Stop at 11 Clark St., approached and pointed a gun at the clerk, and demanded money, police said.
He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect was described as a white man between 20 and 25 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 180 pounds.
At the same time, another man wearing all black clothing and a black ski mask demanded money at gunpoint from the clerk at a Valero station located at 633 W. Market St., according to police.
He too fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect was about 5 feet 6 inches tall with a medium to heavy build.
Witnesses told police both men walked down Clark Street, where they got into a silver four-door car and drove toward Nacional Street.
