Police said a shooting that left three people, including a teenager, injured at a barbecue on Sunday night was gang-motivated.
The victims were all at the barbecue in front of an apartment complex in the 800 block of Jeanne Avenue, police Sgt. Jason Dwyer said.
Around 11:15 p.m., one person approached the crowd, fired several rounds and struck three people.
The victims, who included a 15-year-old male, 20-year-old woman, and 31-year-old man, were all taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
They are all expected to survive, Dwyer said.
All three live in the area.
The suspect got into a getaway car and fled before police arrived. Both he and the driver of the car remain at-large.
“We do believe this is gang-motivated,” Dwyer said. “That neighborhood is known for having a high level of gang activity.”
