Millbrae police are investigating a traffic collision that caused the death of a 21-year-old Foster City man Monday near the Millbrae Bay Area Rapid Transit station, a police sergeant said Tuesday.
Daisuke Kaneko was traveling on a motorcycle on East Millbrae Avenue near Rollins Road at about 3:15 p.m. when he collided with a vehicle in front of him, police Sgt. John Aronis said.
The impact caused Kaneko to subsequently fly off of the motorcycle and fall onto the ground, in between the two axles of a dump truck, Aronis said. Kaneko was fatally injured when the rear axle of the truck ran over him.
Medical personnel pronounced Kaneko dead at the scene.
