Police release sketch of man suspected in Chili’s armed robbery

Police have released an artist’s sketch of a man suspected of robbing at gunpoint a Chili’s Grill & Bar restaurant in Concord last month.

The robbery occurred around 10:05 p.m. on Oct. 29 at 1501 Concord Ave., according to police.

Police believe a man approached an employee at the “To Go” register, brandished a handgun and demanded cash. He placed the cash in a bag then fled on foot toward Fremont Street.

Officers established a perimeter and searched the area but were unable to locate him.

The suspect was described as a black man between 22 and 30 years old, standing around 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a medium build. He had short hair, a thin goatee, tattoos on his neck and was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, white T-shirt, blue jeans and white Nike “Air Force Ones” shoes.
