The county of Santa Clara and the Mexican Consulate General will team up in San Jose today to kick off the fifth annual Bi-national Health Week, which promotes health and wellness to thousands of Mexican and Latino residents in the county.
Beginning today through Oct. 14, the county and consulate will partner to help Mexican and Latino workers and residents through a series of workshops, insurance referrals and medical screenings and treatment. The events have been coordinated with a variety of health and community organizations in the county.
Today’s opening ceremony will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the county government center, located at 70 W. Hedding St.
