A shed attached to a townhome in Rohnert Park caught fire on Sunday and caused an estimated $5,000 in damage.
The Rohnert Park public safety dispatch received a report of a fire at a townhome at 263 College View Drive around 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
Responding units found heavy smoke and flames coming from an attached shed threatening the two townhomes, according to Rohnert Park police.
An officer used a fire extinguisher to slow the spread of the fire before firefighters arrived. The fire was contained to the shed and extinguished in about nine minutes, according to police.
No one was injured or displaced in the fire.
The fire caused some damage to the wall where the shed attached to the two townhomes, but the townhomes were not damaged.
Investigators believe the fire started near a clothes dryer.
