The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man who ordered a 16-year-old girl to get into his van over the weekend and then followed her as she ran away.
A man in his 30s approached the girl in a white van during the day on April 10 in the Live Oak area, according to the sheriff’s office.
He repeatedly told the girl to get into his van and then continued to follow her as she ran away, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies were notified once the girl was safely home.
The suspect has short black hair and a short beard. He was driving a full-sized white van in good condition with no rear windows.
