Firefighters have controlled a two-alarm blaze at a home on Berrywood Drive, fire Capt. Charles Rangel said.
The fire was reported at 11:06 a.m. in the 1600 block of Berrywood Drive. It was under control as of 11:40 a.m., Rangel said.
The fire appears to have started in the garage and spread to the attic. It damaged the garage and part of the house, Rangel said.
It was initially reported the occupants were not home when the fire began, but Rangel later said they were inside. They were evacuated and were not injured, he said.
Neighboring homes were not affected.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
