A 76-year-old woman was struck and killed in Los Altos Wednesday afternoon, according to police.
The collision occurred around 3:15 p.m. on Los Altos Avenue at Hacienda Way, police said.
Patricia Blankenburg, of Los Altos, was struck by a 54-year-old Redwood City man driving a gold Jeep Grand Cherokee.
It appears that the driver hit Blankenburg as he was going east on Hacienda Way and she was walking on the west side of Los Altos Avenue, police said.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
