Several fire agencies responded this afternoon to a fire in unincorporated Livermore that is burning 40 acres of vegetation, a Cal Fire dispatcher said.
Cal Fire responded to the blaze in the 14000 block of Mines Road around 3 p.m.
No structures have been lost and no injuries have been reported, the dispatcher said.
Fire crews are expected to remain at the scene throughout the night.
The Alameda County Fire Department also responded to help battle the flames.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
