A lane of northbound state Highway 1 in unincorporated Marin County was reopened following a multi-vehicle collision tonight, a California Highway Patrol Officer reported.
The collision, reported around 4:50 p.m. on the highway just south of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, prompted the closure of the northbound lane until about 6:25 p.m.
CHP Officer Ralph Caggiano said a pickup truck collided with a motorcycle as it was making a left turn.
The motorcyclist suffered major injuries and was transported to a hospital, Caggiano said.
The condition of the driver of the pickup truck was not immediately known.
