Police investigate robbery at Bank of America

Police are investigating a robbery at a Bank of America in Campbell on Monday morning, a department spokesman said.

The robbery occurred about 11 a.m. at Bank of America branch located in the Pruneyard Shopping Center at 1875 South Bascom Ave., police Capt. David Dehaan said.

A man wearing sunglasses walked in and approached a teller with a demand note. He then sprinted out of the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash stuffed inside an envelope, Dehaan said.

No weapon was seen and no one was harmed in the robbery, he said.

The man got onto a bicycle and was last seen pedaling west along Campbell Avenue.

He was described as in his 30s, with a medium build. He was wearing a black beanie, blue jeans and a blue-and-white plaid shirt.
