A pro-Palestinian group will hold an interfaith memorial service and candlelight vigil in San Francisco this weekend.
The event, organized by the Gaza Freedom March Bay Area Committee, is being held in support of a march Thursday in Palestine.
On New Year’s Eve, Bay Area activists will join activists from around the world in a march from the Rafah border crossing into Gaza to raise awareness about Israel’s military action in Gaza.
The interfaith memorial service and candlelight vigil will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday in Union Square.
The group has also planned a march across the Golden Gate Bridge Thursday at noon.
