A mountain light was spotted in a semi-rural area of Woodside this morning, a San Mateo County sheriff’s sergeant said.
The mountain lion was spotted at about 4 a.m. this morning in the 100 block of Phillip Road.
According to Sgt. Art Martinez, a resident in one of the nearby homes reported seeing a mountain lion.
A sheriff’s deputy scanned the area but could not find any evidence of a mountain lion, Martinez said.
Nevertheless, residents are asked to take necessary precautions by not approaching the mountain lion and instead calling 911.
