An Oregon man who died in a motorcycle crash on Interstate Highway 280 in San Jose on Thursday has been identified by the Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office as 60-year-old Kenneth Anderson.
Anderson was merging onto southbound Highway 280 at Meridian Avenue at about 8:25 p.m. when his Harley-Davidson motorcycle struck a dirt patch, CHP Officer Lawrence Colon said.
He lost control and was thrown from the bike, Colon said.
Anderson was transported to a hospital where he died from a head injury.
