Police investigate armed robbery

South San Francisco police are investigating the armed robbery of a man in the city Saturday.

The robbery was reported around 4 p.m. Saturday in the area of Junipero Serra and Westborough Boulevards.

According to police, a 40-year-old man was driving on Junipero Serra Boulevard when he was abruptly cut off by a four-door Chevrolet. The victim yielded and pulled to the shoulder, at which point one of the suspects, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans, exited from the
Chevrolet, opened the passenger door to the victim’s car and pointed a knife at him, police said.

The suspect then fled with the victim’s money.

The victim suffered injuries to his torso and face but was not hospitalized, police said.

The suspect is described as a black man in his mid 20s and standing at about 5 feet 8 inches tall.

The suspect vehicle appeared to be a vintage dark gray or dark blue four-door Chevrolet.
