Police investigate home invasion robbery

Palo Alto police are reminding residents to lock their windows and doors at all times after a woman was blindfolded and possibly robbed in her home early Sunday morning.

Officers responded around 3:30 a.m. Sunday to a report of a home invasion robbery in the 2000 block of Amherst Avenue.

According to police, the woman was alone in her bedroom when she awoke and found a male suspect there. While he restrained and blindfolded her, the victim heard another male’s voice in the room.

One suspect announced his intention to rob her, according to police. The suspects then fled from the victim’s home.

The woman was not injured and police have not determined whether anything was stolen from the house.

She described one of the suspects as tall and lean.
