Police investigate sexual battery incident

Santa Rosa police are looking for a man who is suspected of committing a sexual battery offense in broad daylight on Wednesday.

Officers responded to a report of a battery at about 10 a.m. Wednesday behind the Bay Village Circle Apartments on Marlow Road.

According to police, a Hispanic man in his early 20s was on a bicycle along a creek area behind the apartment complex and attempted to talk to a female victim. When she ignored him, he reached around to her chest and grabbed her breast, police said.

The victim screamed and caused the suspect to take off on his bicycle towards Piner Road.

The suspect is 5 feet 7 inches and weighs about 170 pounds. He was wearing a brown T-shirt and jeans.
