A San Jose man became a multimillionaire after buying a winning lottery ticket at a liquor store in Cupertino earlier this month, according to lottery officials.

The man, who has chosen to remain anonymous, bought the $5 “Extravaganza” Scratchers ticket valued at $2 million 10 days ago at S&S Liquors, located at 7335 Bollinger Road.

He claimed the prize Wednesday at the California Lottery’s East Bay District Office.

The man said he will use his winnings to establish a retirement savings plan and also buy a house or condo.

The retailer will receive $10,000 for selling the ticket.
