Residents in San Jose now have the option of filing police complaints online.
The Police Department announced the addition of a new feature to its website last week, allowing residents to post their complaints or comments via the Internet.
The idea is to increase public responsiveness and promote communication between the community and police, police officials said.
Residents can file their comments by visiting http://www.sjpd.org/ and clicking on the “Send E-mail to Internal Affairs” tab at the bottom of the page.
