Police have released age-progressed photographs of a pair of siblings abducted by their father five years ago from their foster home in Watsonville.

Adrian Pacheco abducted his children on the evening of May 5, 2005 from their home on Hollowview Lane, police said. It was the last day the foster mother would see the children, 3-year-old Hazel Bracamontes and 1-year-old Carlos Pacheco.

Prior to the abduction, Pacheco would typically pick up the kids on Sunday mornings, when he had unsupervised visitation rights, and return them to their foster mother in the evening, police said.

Since then Pacheco has not contacted the children’s foster mother. An arrest warrant was issued for Pacheco for two counts of parental abduction, however detectives still have not been able to find him or the children.

Investigators believe he may have fled the country, but it is also possible he is still here, police said.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children completed photographs that portray Hazel as a 9-year-old and Carlos as a 6-year-old.

Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to call the investigations unit of the Police Department at (831) 768-3350 or the crime tip-line at (831) 728-3544.
