Police seeking public’s assistance in identifying bank robbery suspect

San Jose police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man suspected in a string of bank robberies throughout the Bay Area and in the Sacramento area.

On July 28, at about 3:30 p.m., the man gave a teller at Bank of the West at 965 South DeAnza Blvd. a demand note and then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

He is believed to have been involved in a series of bank robberies in June and July in the cities of Mountain View, Redwood City, Los Gatos, Menlo Park, Daly City and Pacifica. He is also connected to robberies in Rocklin, Roseville and Auburn.

The suspect is a man in his mid 40s, described as wearing a black Nike baseball cap, a white

long sleeve button shirt, denim blue pants, and black shoes.
